Privacy Policy

KaliReels is a short-drama streaming app for Android. It has no accounts — no sign-up, no login, no profile. This policy explains the small amount of data the app does handle, why, and how to switch it off or erase it.
The short version
- We identify your installation by a random ID generated on your device — not by you.
- We record which videos are watched and how the app performs, so we can fix bugs and choose what to make next.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID.
- You can turn analytics off, and erase everything tied to your ID, inside the app: Profile → Privacy.
What we never collect
The app contains no code that reads any of the following:
- Names, email addresses or phone numbers
- Passwords or account credentials
- Contacts, SMS messages or call logs
- Photos, camera or microphone
- Payment or card details
- Precise location
Your anonymous ID
The first time the app opens it generates a random identifier (a UUID) and stores it on your device. Everything we record is attached to that identifier and nothing else.
It is derived from nothing about you or your hardware, so it cannot be linked to you, to any account, or to your activity in other apps. It belongs to the installation: clearing the app's data, or using the deletion control described below, replaces it with a new one that cannot be connected to the old.

Advertising
Ads in KaliReels are supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and bill them, AdMob uses your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier managed by Android. That ID goes to Google; it is not used by our own analytics, which only ever sees the anonymous ID above.
You can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or a US state with applicable privacy law, the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform the first time it runs. Declining personalised ads does not remove ads — it means you see non-personalised ones, chosen from context rather than from any profile. You can change that choice later under Profile → Privacy → Ad preferences.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
How long we keep it
Event records are retained for up to 14 months, after which they are deleted or kept only in aggregate form that cannot be traced to a single installation. Crash reports follow Firebase Crashlytics' own retention schedule. A deletion request removes the underlying records ahead of those periods.
Your controls
All of these are inside the app, under Profile → Privacy:
- Usage analytics — a switch that stops collection entirely. It is on by default; turning it off also discards anything queued but not yet sent.
- Crash reports — a switch that stops diagnostic reporting.
- Ad preferences — reopens the consent form where applicable.
- Delete my data — erases your anonymous ID, every statistic derived from it, and asks our servers to delete the corresponding records. A new, unlinkable ID is generated so the app keeps working. Your downloads and watch history stay on your device, because they are yours.
Because the data is not linked to your identity, we generally cannot single out one person's records without the anonymous ID — which is why the in-app control is the reliable route.
Children
KaliReels is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. The app requests only non-child-directed ad inventory.
Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for anonymous product analytics and crash diagnostics — the data is not identifying, and you can opt out at any time — and on your consent, collected through the form described above, for personalised advertising.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects what is collected, surface it in the app.
